एमपीएससी मंत्र : रोहिणी शहा सन २०१७ मध्ये नवीन पॅटर्न लागू झाल्यानंतर महाराष्ट्र कृषिसेवा परीक्षा सन २०१९ वगळता प्रत्येक वर्षी आयोजित झाली असल्याचे दिसते. त्यामुळे सन २०२० मध्ये ही परीक्षा आयोजित होण्याची शक्यता गृहीत धरून तयारी करणे आवश्यक आहे. या घटकाच्या पूर्वपरीक्षेतील प्रश्नांचे विश्लेषण व त्याआधारे तयारीबाबत या लेखापासून चर्चा करण्यात येईल. या लेखामध्ये मागील प्रश्नपत्रिकांमधील इंग्रजी घटकाच्या प्रश्नांचे विश्लेषण करण्यात येत आहे. मागील दोन वर्षांतील काही प्रातिनिधिक प्रश्न पाहू. It was a ghastly appreciation of an old man.Answer options1) large, weird, ghastly, appreciation2) large, noises, ghastly, appreciation3) large, weird, ghastly, old4) none of the above वरील प्रातिनिधिक प्रश्नांच्या विश्लेषणावरून पुढील गोष्टी लक्षात येतात. सन २०१७मध्ये सर्व १५ पकी १४ प्रश्न हे थेट (Straight forward) प्रकारचे होते तर सन २०१८मध्ये बहुविधानी प्रश्नांची संख्या एकवरून पाचवर गेलेली दिसते. भाषाविषयक आकलनावरील प्रश्नांचा विचार करता २०१७ आणि २०१८ मध्ये १५ पकी ८ प्रश्न विचारलेले आहेत. म्हणजेच शब्दसंग्रह, म्हणी, वाक्प्रचार यांना एकत्रितपणे जवळपास ५० टक्के महत्व दिले आहे. त्यातही म्हणींवर कमी भर आहे. सर्वाधिक भर शब्दसंग्रहावर आणि वाक्प्रचारावर दिलेला दिसून येतो. वाक्यरचनेवर चार ते पाच प्रश्न विचारलेले दिसून येतात. वाक्याचे प्रकार (साधे, संयुक्त आणि मिश्र तसेच सकरात्मक व नकारात्मक), काळ, प्रयोग .degrees of comparison, direct & indirect speech, वाक्य पृथ:करण (Clauses) ) हे घटक वाक्यरचनेवरील प्रश्नांसाठी विचारात घेता येतील. शब्दांच्या जाती (Parts of Speech) या व्याकरणाच्या भागावर सर्वात कमी प्रश्न विचारलेले आहेत. अभ्यासक्रमामध्ये उताऱ्यावरील प्रश्नांचा उल्लेख असला तरी दोन्ही वर्षी या घटकाचा समावेश प्रश्नपत्रिकेमध्ये केलेला नाही. मात्र कोणत्याही घटकावरील प्रश्नांची संख्या आयोगाने निश्चित ठेवलेली नाही, हे पाहता या घटकाचा समावेश होण्याची शक्यता नाकारता येत नाही. त्यामुळे या घटकाचा सराव करणे टाळू नये. पदवी परीक्षेची काठिण्य पातळी आहे म्हटल्यावर केवळ व्याकरणाचे नियम सरळसोटपणे वापरून भागणार नाही. वाक्याचा नेमका अर्थ समजून घेतल्यावरच प्रश्न व्यवस्थित सोडविता येईल. एकूणच वस्तुनिष्ठ भाषा म्हटले तरी भाषेतील वेगवेगळ्या अर्थछटा माहीत करून घेतल्या तर हा पेपर कमी वेळेमध्ये यशस्वीपणे सोडविता येईल.
