Hours after India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Pakistan sharply escalated ceasefire violations along the LoC. Heavy artillery fire was reported in Poonch, Rajouri, Uri, and Tangdhar sectors, killing three civilians. The Indian Army confirmed shelling in Bhimber Gali and said it is responding in a calibrated manner. The Defence Ministry said India’s strikes were focused, avoiding military sites and aimed solely at terror infrastructure. The situation marks a serious escalation following the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26, with tensions rapidly worsening across the region.
