Food Security- free food is not the answer — Sharad Joshi

Sharad Joshi, Agriculturist and founder of Shetkari Sanghatana argued that free food is not necessarily the answer to Food Security. He added that we must consider various factors within the agriculture sector and the government should revise its archaic policy on subsidies. There is an urgent need to improve the condition of the agriculture sector and also the quality of life of the farmer community in this country.
