few years back BJP was targeted saying that it’s a businessmen party. When we came into power, we were open for economic liberalization, and then also people blamed us. But let me clear one thing here, BJP is not against economic liberalization, said Atul Bhatkhalkar at Loksatta Loudspeaker event in Mumbai. Government must increase spending on social sector. In this country, indirect tax is more than direct tax, so must reduce indirect tax, said Bhatkhalkar. BJP is against corporate capitalization but we support economic liberalization in this country, added Bhatkhalkar.
