Government is misguiding the people on VAT issue

VAT is indirect tax and Income tax is direct tax. In this situation builders are saying we will collect this money form people and submit to government and this is real situation, said Arun kelkar at Loksatta Loudspeaker event in Mumbai. Government is misguiding the people on VAT, and only central government charge indirect taxes not state government, he added later. Also decision given by court is not clear to builder as well as common man, which is adding to the problem, added Kelkar.
