नॉर्दन आयर्लंड आणि कॅलिफोर्नियातील कॉलम्नर बसॉल्ट संरक्षित तर आहेच पण ते पर्यटकांचे आकर्षण असलेले केंद्रही आहे. पण मुंबईतील हे ठिकाण पूर्णपणे दुर्लक्षित आणि उपेक्षित आहे. मुंबईतल्या या कॉलम्नर बसॉल्टचे तुकडे करून खडी करण्याचे काम तर अगदी 10 वर्षांपूर्वीपर्यंत सुरू होते. खरे तर हे मुंबईचे वैभव आहे.
