We have not used reservation for people’s social empowerment — Mohan Bhagwat

In an interaction with reporters during Idea Exchange organized by Loksatta, the Marathi daily of The Indian Express group, Mohan Bhagwat said that the benefits of reservation have not reached the people it should have. Because of various reasons, individuals from backward communities have been deprived of the opportunities that they should have received from the government. A non-political group comprising of intellectuals from various fields should be formed to look into this matter, Bhagwat added.
