After 1960 the naxalism movement started in India. In last one decade Andhra Pradesh government took serious action against them and they spread their wings in Maharashtra, Jharkhand & Chhattisgardh, said Union Home Minister and veteran Congress leader Sushil Kumar Shinde at the Idea Exchange programme organised by Loksatta, the Marathi newspaper of The Indian Express Group. I strongly believe that, we must develop the remote areas because Naxalism issue will not be solved only by arms. Naxals doesn’t allow to do development work but we are moving ahead step by step. I am confident that infrastructure development will change the peoples mind, said Shinde.
