पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी दोन दिवसाच्या गुजरात दौऱ्यावर परतल्यानंतर त्यांच्या एका भाषणातील वाक्यामुळे त्यांच्यावर नेटकऱ्यांनी टीका केली आहे. गुजरातमधील एका भाषणामध्ये मोदींनी सरकारला प्रश्न विचारण्याचा नवीन ट्रेण्ड आला आहे असे वक्तव्य केले होते. यावरुन नेटकऱ्यांनी मोदींना चांगलेच सुनावले असून अनेकांनी सरकारला प्रश्न विचारणे म्हणजे ट्रेण्ड नसून याला लोकशाही म्हणतात असं मत ट्विटरसारख्या सोशल नेटवर्किंग साईटवरुन मांडले आहे. अदालज येथील कार्यक्रमामध्ये बोलताना मोदींनी सरकारकडून सर्व कामाची अपेक्षा ठेवणाऱ्यांवर आणि प्रश्न विचारणाऱ्यांवर टीका केली. नवीन ट्रेण्ड नुसार सगळं काही सरकारनेच करायला हवं असं लोकांना वाटू लागले आहे. न केलेल्या कामांसंदर्भातही त्यांना सरकारकडून उत्तरे हवी आहेत. भारताची ही संस्कृती नाही,' अशा शब्दात मोदींनी टीका केली होती. पाटीदार समाजाचे नाव न घेता मोदींनी केलेल्या या टीकेनंतर ज्यांना समाजाची प्रगती व्हावे असं वाटतयं त्यांनी स्वत:हून पुढे यायला हवे असंही म्हटलं होतं. या भाषणामध्ये 'एखाद्या समाजासाठी काम करणाऱ्या संस्थांना आम्ही पाठिंबा देतो. यामधून राजकीय फायदा मिळवण्याचा आमचा हेतू नसतो' असंही मोदींनी या भाषणामध्ये म्हटले होते. मोदींनी केलेल्या या प्रश्न विचारण्याच्या ट्रेण्डसंदर्भातील वक्तव्यानंतर सोशल मिडियावरुन अनेकांनी नाराजी व्यक्त केली आहे. ट्विटवर तर अनेकांनी सरकारला प्रश्न विचारणे हा ट्रेण्ड नसून अनेक वर्षांपासून भारतात सरकारला प्रश्न विचारले जात असल्याचं म्हटलं आहे. पाहुयात असेच काही ट्विटस याला लोकशाही म्हणतात It’s not a new trend Sir.
