के या अक्षराने सुरु होणाऱ्या मालिकांचं मध्यंतरी पेवच फुटलं होतं. आज के या रोमन अक्षरापासून सुरू होणाऱ्या काही वैशिष्टय़पूर्ण इंग्रजी शब्दांविषयी..एक होतकरू तरुण नशीब काढण्यासाठी मुंबईला गेला. आमचा हा मित्र नाटकं लिहायचा, बसवायचा, कविता करायचा. मुंबईत पोहोचला आणि बातमी लागली की एका मोठय़ा कंपनीला िहदी मालिकांसाठी लेखक हवेत. मित्रानं सहज फोन केला. दोन मिनिटं भेटीची वेळ मिळाली. स्वत: केकता कपूरनी ३५ सेकंदात स्टोरी सांगायला फर्मावलं आणि ‘तुम्हारा समय शुरू होता है- अब!’ असं म्हणत स्टॉपवॉच सुरू केलं. ‘३५ सेकंदांत स्टोरी?’ मित्र हादरला पण दीडच सेकंदात सावरला आणि इयत्ता पाचवीत पाठ केलेलं वाक्य घडाघडा म्हणून दाखवलंन. ‘काकूंनी काकांच्या काळ्या कोटातील कागदाचे कात्रीने कराकरा कापून कपटे केले’. आता हादरायची पाळी समोरच्या बाजूची होती. हा ‘क’चा कडकडाट ऐकून केकताजी शहारल्या, थक्क झाल्या, गहिवरल्या, आनंदल्या.. आमचा मित्र सध्या ४ मालिकांसाठी रतीब घालतोय.. सध्या (म्हणजे कलियुगात) यशाचा मार्ग K पासून सुरू होतो, असं दिसतंय. बघूया आपणही काहीतरी करून..kaput (कपुट) - not working correctly; brokern.उदा. 1) I want a mechanic. The retired professor was an old kleptomaniac.knee-jerk (नी-जर्क)- produced automatically; without any serious thought. CQF. 1) Whenever a bomb blast takes place, the government's knee-jerk reaction is to warn Pakistan.2) Without understanding the complexities of my illness, the doctor suggested me a knee-jerk medicine.kudos (क्यूडॉस) - praise; honor; glory- admiration or respect that goes with a particular achievement or position.उदा. 1) Being a film actor he gets kudos wherever he goes.2) The young college student received kudos for his poems. आपल्या द्रष्टया संतांनी हा K महिमा ओळखून त्याविषयीचं सूचन आधीच करून ठेवलेलं आहे. Kल्याने होत आहे रे, आधी Kलेचि पाहिजे।
