Police commissioner’s take on Pune’s Ganesh festival

At Loksatta Loudspeaker event in Pune, Joint commissioner
of Police S. K. Singham read all guidelines, which has been provided
to him by government. He stiffly mentioned that, Police don’t make any
laws. Laws are made by the government and we (Police) only implement
the same. If Ganesh Mandal’s of Pune have any issues with the laws,
they must approach right officials. We are doing our best and happy to
do everything within our jurisdiction, he added.
